Hybrid Car Prices
Much like buying a new gas-dependent car, hybrid vehicles
are priced depending on the model or make of the car, the
brand, and what features are included as well
accessories. Of course, hybrid car prices are much higher
than most people would like them to be but they are for a good
reason. The point of buying a hybrid car is to be able to
save money on gas prices, spend less on maintenance since the
cars virtually run on electricity most of the time, and being a
cleaner solution, hybrid cars offer people an opportunity to be
responsible for the overall health of society: literally.
Sedans
Again, hybrid car prices are dependent
mostly on brand and accessories included in the
vehicles. For example, a 2007 Toyota Prius will
probably set you back about $23,000. that’s a high
price to pay but it does come with its own navigation
system and the money that you will save from not buying
gas often is enough to astound you and probably even coax
you into investing into another hybrid in the
future. But for those of you who do not believe that
spending extra money for a navigation system is wise, you
may want to look into hybrids by other companies like
Honda. The 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid, for example, is
ranged between $15,000 and just over $22,000. It all
depends on what you have added inside the car which will
more than likely raise the price. If you go with a
basic package, then you can get a hybrid for just over
$15,000 from Honda. Pricey hybrid sedans can for up
to almost $30,000 and these models include those from
Nissan. But depending on what trim you want, even
that price can be cut down substantially.
SUVs
Of course, for most Americans, hybrid car prices will
probably mean naught if they can get a good old SUV that can
seat tons of people. The US market takes pride in the
size of their vehicles and many car manufacturers know
this. Again, depending on the brand and features, SUV
prices can go from anywhere between $25,000 to almost
$50,000. This may seem like a steep price to pay but for
the performance and savings that you will get from using much
less gas, this will be turn out to be a great investment.
Ford and Mercury offer some of the most affordable SUVs ranging
between $25,000 to just a little under $28,000. Now, for
those who do have the money to splurge on luxury, they have the
option to spend up to over $40,000 for models like the 2007
Lexus RX 400h that includes Xenon headlights, a navigation
system, a rearview camera and fuel economy of up to 27 miles
per gallon on the highway and 32 miles to the gallon in the
city. That’s a good deal plus you are given only the best
from a luxurious car company such as Lexus.
Hybrid car prices are high for many reasons. And those
reasons include your being able to save on spending for gas as
well as maintenance. Hybrid cars are set to be the future
of the automobile industry and perhaps prices will get even
lower if the demands for hybrid vehicles continue to
increase.
